On March 27, 2025, at Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy” a guest lecture “Women in STEM: International Experience” was held, which was given by Taisia Mukii, PhD, facilitator of the International Child Development Program ICDP, ambassador of the Women in STEM network (Great Britain). The event was dedicated to the anniversary of the academy – its 105th anniversary – and was organized as part of the Spring Marathon “Experience of Teaching Informatics in Modern Conditions”.
During the event, the speaker shared her own professional path – from a student of the college of the Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy” to the director of the company “Professional Development of a Teacher” (Kyiv). Taisiia focused on the role of women and girls in science, in particular in STEM education. Special attention was paid to the issues of career development of women in STEM fields, international opportunities and challenges facing women in science and technology.
The event was of interest not only to applicants for the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education in the educational and professional program Secondary Education (Informatics), but was also useful for future teachers of other specialties of the academy.
